Welcome to The Rustic Country Barn. Our business is dedicated to bringing quality, American-made furniture, at reasonable prices, to our customers. “We understand that quality, craftsmanship and price are essential to our customers.” We specialize in American-made furniture in either Barn Wood or Painted and Distressed. All of our furniture is made of 100% solid wood – no veneers. We believe our furniture will appreciate in value. The furniture is built with the intention that it will last for generations beyond the lifetime of the original purchaser.
Our Barn Wood Collection is made of beautiful, old reclaimed wood, with an average age of 120+ years, to provide a warm, rich, antique look. The barn wood is meticulously handcrafted using the building materials salvaged during demolition of tobacco drying barns built in the 1800’s and 1900’s. One can only imagine the history of these reclaimed barns. The wood’s aged patina, coupled with refined lines, give this furniture an "elegant rustic" charm. They are all unique and have their own characteristics; no two tables or pieces will ever look exactly the same.
All pieces of our Barn Wood Collection are available in standard sizes. Custom sizes and alterations are also available. Standard finishes include wax, stain, hard varnish, paint or custom finishes.
Our Distressed and Painted Collection is made of new wood made to look old. It, too, is 100% solid wood and American-made and offered in a variety of paint colors and antique finishes.
The Rustic Country Barn not only has a large selection of barn wood and distressed-painted furniture but we also have a large selection of American-made wrought iron, lighting, signs and a large selection of country home furnishings and accessories.
Many of the products are inventoried in our 1800’s barn shop and gallery located in the Historic Carlson Farm Barn in New Milford, CT. We believe comfort and beauty should go hand-in-hand with style and durability. A home needs to be welcoming, attractive, and enjoyable. It must reflect each owner’s unique personality.
